Swansea University’s ‘Complex Fluid Research Group’ and the British Society of Rheology invite you to attend the 2024 meeting of the Non-Newtonian Club entitled “Complex Fluids in Industry and Healthcare", taking place at Swansea University’s Bay Campus on September 12th , 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The topic includes any aspect of complex fluids, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, or rheology with Industrial or Healthcare applications.
The day will feature talks from both industry leaders and academics working in the field. In addition, the Complex Fluids Research Group at Swansea will conduct laboratory demonstrations and the event will include a special workshop on “Protorheology”.
We encourage PhD students and early career researchers to present their work through talks or posters. If you are interested in contributing, please send your title and abstract to Dr. Dan Curtis at [email protected] by June 30, 2024.
This event follows the UK Fluid Conference, which will be held in Swansea from September 9th to 11th.
Participation in the NNC meeting is free of charge, although registration may be capped due to venue constraints. Early registration is encouraged. Attendees can apply for the BSR Student Travel Grant or the BSR Early Career Travel Award to cover travel expenses, provided they are members of the British Society of Rheology. Membership is available for an annual fee of just £27. If you are a carer and wish to attend, you can also apply to the BSR Carer’s Grant.
